The Startup Factory will change the Triangle forever. In today?s business, geography is optional. The internet said so. Fiber-connected offices, employees, contractors, customers, prospects, tools ? they all describe a business environment that is fluid and leverages new age critical components. These components are the foundation for a new entrepreneurial culture that will literally accelerate with the significant multi-year funding of TSF.
With the creation of TSF, we will enable startup to early-stage software companies to reach warp-speed on their business growth through funding and laser-focused mentorship. As others have done in other communities, TSF will grow to become the lightning rod for the Triangle. The pieces are already in place.
TriangleTechTalk.com is a ?Techcrunch for the Triangle? that highlights and showcases the goings on for the region. Tech Jobs Under the Big Top is a reverse job fair that provides a rich environment for tech companies to meet, screen and hire technology-oriented candidates. Every week there are meetups around Lean, Agile, Ruby, Java, and Design.
If entrepreneurship is one part passion, we have it in spades at TSF. My partner, Dave, is well-respected throughout the community. His work with countless founders through his adjunct role at the University of North Carolina ? Chapel Hill, his volunteer advisory work with numerous companies as well as his own startups add up to a great set of experiences that complement my skill sets perfectly. As I have shared with many, Dave is smart (UNC Law + Stanford MBA) and good-looking and I am the opposite.
